A New Year
It is a new year and a chance to reflect on 2023 and plan ahead for 2024. For some of us, 2023 was a great year while others feel like they barely made it through. Even if you accomplished less than you planned, be proud of where you are. Some years are hard, and we do not always finish as planned. The good news is we have a brand-new year ahead of us with 365 days of opportunities for new beginnings.
2023 was a great year for my family. We transitioned into a new season and our life changed drastically. It had been several years of waiting for a manifestation of the promises of God. Not everything turned out as expected, but we have been blessed. I am not sure what God has in store for us in 2024. I know that I intend to be more intentional. I want to be more intentional with my time, making moments count. I want to be more intentional about God and sharing his love with others and hearing from Him daily. Hearing from Him daily takes work on my part. This means I must be more intentional in my time with Him. I want to be more intentional with my family. This year I have had more time for them, but I want to spend more time pouring into my children and loving my husband. Let’s face it, life is busy and as a work from home and homeschooling mom it’s been an adjustment and at times my pouring has been rushed. I pray that the Lord would help me to slow down and grace me with wisdom as I have been navigating this new journey. I want to be intentional about my health. Every year most of us plan to be active and lose weight. We so easily lose focus and give up on our goals only to repeat them again the next year. Lord let me stay focused and intentional this year! Lastly, I plan to be intentional about traveling more and not just for ministry but to enjoy life and my family.
I hope that you have an opportunity to focus on what you want to change in 2024 and that your plans come to pass. May we all look back in 2025 and see our plans have been put into action and all be left thankful for 2024. If you get off to a bad start, remember you can always start over tomorrow.
I am excited to see what God has in store for all of us this year!
